About
I am a strong believer in shared-decision making between physicians and patients and feel it is my obligation to effectively communicate the risks and benefits of health decisions with my patients and their family. My areas of interest and expertise are in minimally invasive procedures for heart blockages and structural heart disease (valve problems and congenital problems) but I believe in a balanced approach to health that integrates diet, exercise, stress reduction and medicines (when appropriate).I am originally from Chicago and am an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears Fan. I moved to California in 2013 to complete a fellowship in minimally invasive catheter-based treatment of heart disease and have been practicing there for the last 7 years. After my wife and I had our 4th child we decided to relocate to Boise for the wonderful outdoor lifestyle, friendly people and family-oriented culture. When I'm not at the hospital I enjoy playing with my 4 kids, playing guitar, doing crossfit and (learning) to fish.
