About

Good communication is a necessity in making the correct diagnosis. It is necessary in making sure that the people who see me fully understand the options available to them. I do my best to be compassionate and to treat my patients with respect. My entire team feels this way. It is often best to begin with conservative treatment, and many conditions may improve with this method. There is a time when conservative treatment may no longer have a role, and when there is a good surgical option, I will discuss this with you. Ultimately, it is your decision on whether you want to pursue a surgical option. I will do my best to guide you."Christopher Hirose, a fourth generation physician, is a board certified fellow of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an orthopaedic surgeon at the Saint Alphonsus Coughlin Clinic in Boise, Idaho. Dr. Hirose was an early admit to the University of Minnesota Medical School where he received his medical degree. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He trained in General and Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, and then completed the foot and ankle orthopaedic fellowship under Dr. Thomas O. Clanton at The Foundation for Orthopaedic, Athletic and Reconstructive Research in Houston, Texas. He is the past president of the North Pacific Orthopaedic Society and is an Instructor at the University of Washington Medical School.
