Dedication and hard work are what made me go into medicine, and the challenge is what drew me to oncology. We are witnessing an era of success in cancer treatment, success that was unimaginable a few decades ago. Yet cancer remains the most devastating disease. Coping with the burden cancer imposes on patients is not easy. My role as a physician is not only striving to provide my patient the best and most advanced care, but also helping them and their families to get through difficult times with transparency and compassion.
